Age Unbound – Celebrating Older Americans

May is Older Americans Month, when the nation joins us in celebrating the many contributions that older adults make to our communities, right here at EHM Senior Solutions as well as in the larger Washtenaw County community.

Too many people are unaware of what we witness every day: the unique, joyful, beautiful aspects of how many older adults in our community live life. Though some view aging as a slowing down, due to limits and restrictions, at EHM Senior Solutions that stereotype is defied and disproved every day. Our residents live in line with the 2023 Older Americans Month theme: Aging Unbound.

Our dedicated team–from professional caregivers and administrators to the culinary team and housekeeping services–use their expertise and commitment to quality care to create and support experiences that expand the quality of life for residents. Many older adults find it easier to pursue lifelong joys–such as family time, community service, learning and teaching, or volunteering. Our team members ensure our residents continue to experience those joys.

It is our honor to embrace families by providing the excellent care and support that our residents need to thrive. As a nonprofit organization, people are our first priority. Adherence to our mission to serve is our daily driving force.

It is our wish, too, that the same excellent care we deliver here at EHM Senior Solutions is available to every older adult who needs it. Our mission driven organization derives support from a range of resources, federal and state governmental agencies, commercial insurances, individual private payments for services, public and private grants and The Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation gifts from treasured donors. All these funding sources are vital to our ability to serve older adults.

During the month of May, and throughout the year, celebrate our communities’ older adults with us and cheer for them as they age unbound.

Thank you for entrusting our team to care for your family members and our community–a responsibility that we treasure and on which we strive to over-deliver.
