EHM Foundation News & Community Impact |
Dear Friends,
February always feels like that in-between month. We’re still brushing off snow and bundling up, but there’s a quiet sense that spring isn’t too far away. It’s a good time to reflect on the steady, meaningful work happening every day and the people who make it possible.
On February 20th, National Caregivers Day, lets pause to recognize the incredible caregivers and staff who serve our residents and community with compassion and dedication. They show up early, stay late, and bring patience and kindness into every interaction. Their work is not always easy, especially during long winter days, but it is always impactful.
Your support strengthens them. Because of you, they have the resources, programs, and encouragement needed to provide excellent care. Together, we are building a community that values dignity, connection, and service in every season. As we look ahead to spring, we remain grateful for you and for the shared commitment that keeps our mission moving forward. Thank you for being part of this work. With gratitude,
Jodi Hilberer, Foundation Director |

On Friday, February 6th the EHM Foundation and Brecon Village team had a super time participating in the SOUPer Bowl at the Saline Area Senior Center! It was a wonderful event filled with community spirit, delicious soups, and friendly competition. A huge thank you to the event sponsor, our very own EHM Senior Solutions, for supporting such a fun and meaningful community gathering. And congratulations to the Evangelical Home – Saline and Brecon Village Unidine Kitchen team! JT’s Tuscany Bean Soup won the Offensive Line Award. What a delicious win! We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together in such a SOUPer way!

Love is in the air! On Friday, February 13th, the EHM Foundation and Brecon Village staff had a wonderful time delivering heart-shaped balloons from our Valentine’s Day Balloon Sale fundraiser. Proceeds from this event will support the Employee Emergency Fund, helping staff members during times of unexpected need. Thank you to everyone who donated!
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Salt Valley Arts for creating 184 beautiful handmade Valentine’s Day cards for residents at Brecon Village. Your creativity and kindness truly brightened their day!
A special thank you as well to St. John’s Lutheran Church for thoughtfully crafting handmade Valentine’s Day cards for residents at Evangelical Home–Saline. These heartfelt gestures mean so much to those we serve.
We are also incredibly grateful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for dropping off cozy Valentine’s Day gripper socks for residents at Evangelical Home–Saline. Your generosity and care brought comfort and smiles to so many! We are truly grateful for your continued support! |
BINGO! This week, the EHM Foundation team had the best time serving as Bingo callers at Brecon Village! We loved spending the afternoon with our residents, cheering them on and watching their competitive spirit shine. There’s nothing better than laughter, friendly competition, and time spent together. What a wonderful afternoon! |
Investing in Education & Growth Employee Scholarships |
Each year, EHM Senior Solutions is proud to offer scholarships to support the growth and development of our dedicated employees. These scholarships reflect our commitment to investing in the people who provide exceptional care to our residents each day. We are thrilled to recognize Amanda Miller as the most recent recipient of the EHM Nursing Scholarship.
Amanda Miller explained “The opportunity to advance my education and credentials through EHM brings me such happiness. I am a firm believer that in nursing you are never done learning, and it never hurts to refresh what you’ve already learned. My hope is to gain some new insights and a deeper understanding of wound healing and the integumentary system. In doing so, I’m confident that we can continue to strive to prevent pressure ulcers and promote better wound healing in our elderly population. God speaks often about taking care of our elderly generations and I am immensely blessed to be able to do that through my work.”
We are incredibly proud of Amanda’s dedication to lifelong learning and her passion for enhancing the quality of care for our elderly community. Thank you Amanda, for the compassionate difference you make every day. |
