Evangelical Home – Saline is a licensed skilled nursing facility offering post-acute rehabilitation programs as well as being home to its long term care residents, offering 24 hour nursing care and support to thousands of residents since the early 1970’s.
We all want to live as independently as possible no matter our age or health situation. There are times, however, when 24 hour care is needed due to an injury or chronic medical condition. We work to refine the balance between the clinical needs of our residents and the social, cultural, and spiritual preferences that make life more enjoyable.

If you have limited assets and a low income and you need help paying for nursing home care, Medicaid might help you pay for your care. Medicaid will generally only cover the cost of “convalescent care” or what most people refer to as “long term care”. However, before Medicaid will pay for a nursing home stay, it must be proven “medically necessary” for the patient. The rules for Medicaid are complicated, but our admissions professionals can help answer your questions and explain what Medicaid will and will not pay for.
