September Sounds at Brecon Village |
|
|
Brecon Village was pleased to host its annual September Sounds music series on three beautiful Thursday nights this fall. Opening the series, Depot Town Big Band delivered a lively performance that had residents tapping their toes to timeless swing and jazz favorites. With their powerful brass section and smooth rhythms, they brought the spirit of the big band era to life, delighting the crowd with a night of nostalgia and energy.
Next up in the series, Big Band Theory filled the courtyard with their unique fusion of traditional big band sounds and modern arrangements. Their fresh take on classic tunes, combined with a few contemporary surprises, kept the audience engaged and excited throughout the evening. It was a performance that effortlessly bridged generations and musical tastes, making it a night to remember.
Finishing off the series, Gemini, the beloved musical duo, captivated everyone with their engaging storytelling and folk-inspired tunes. Their mix of original songs and familiar classics brought warmth and joy to the final concert, ending the series on a high note. Residents and guests alike were swept away by the soothing harmonies and uplifting spirit of their performance.
We are grateful to the Oscar Haab Charitable Remainder Trust for their generous support, which made this years concerts possible. Thanks to their contribution, we were able to continue this cherished tradition and bring the joy of music to our community. |

Edward F. Redies Foundation Delivers Life-Saving Equipment |
|
|
We are thrilled to extend our deepest gratitude to the Edward F. Redies Foundation Inc. for their incredible support in providing us with crash carts and LVAD equipment for The Redies Center for Rehabilitation & Evangelical Home-Saline.
These carts will serve as a centralized hub, housing all critical emergency medications and equipment, ensuring rapid and efficient responses to medical crises.
Additionally, the acquisition of LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) equipment is crucial for the specialized care of some cardiac rehab patients. As we expand our services to accommodate this specialized niche, accurate monitoring plays a pivotal role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
We are blessed with this continued commitment to improving healthcare in our community! |

Saline/Milan Rocks generously donated beautifully painted rocks for our residents at Brecon Village and our Memory Support Center. The life enrichment team incorporated the rocks into a scavenger hunt throughout our gardens, providing not only fun, but education as they learned about different plant names along the way. Each rock brought smiles and joy,and was a wonderful way for our residents to engage with nature and each other. Their kindness brightened our community, and we can’t thank them enough for this support!
