Be Santa to a Senior: Help Make a Resident’s Holiday Bright!

Santa’s helpers are getting ready for another season of giving at Evangelical Home – Saline! Our annual Santa to a Senior program is underway, and we’re inviting you to help make the holidays special for our residents.

By adopting a senior for the holiday season, you can turn a personal wish list into a thoughtful surprise and remind a resident that someone is thinking of them.

How to Adopt a Senior

Getting involved is easy, and you don’t need a sleigh!

First, choose a wish list. Stop by the Admissions Office at Evangelical Home – Saline to select a resident’s holiday wish list.

Next, enjoy the shopping. Use your selected resident’s list to shop for gifts that reflect their wishes. Make it a family outing, team up with a friend, or invite your coworkers to adopt a senior together.

Then, drop off your gifts. Bring your resident’s wish list and unwrapped gifts to the Admissions Office by Friday, December 11. Please include gift bags and tissue paper to help make the gifts festive.

Donations are being accepted now at:

Evangelical Home – Saline Admissions Office
440 W. Russell St.
Saline, MI 48176
Monday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

More Ways to Spread Holiday Cheer

Want to help without adopting a senior? We welcome that, too! Pick up a few items from our Santa to a Senior Donation Guide, or host a collection box at your workplace, church, club, or neighborhood gathering.

The guide includes suggestions such as large-print word searches, puzzles, coloring supplies, and personal care items, along with items to avoid. Please deliver these unwrapped donations by December 11 to the same location.

For questions about adopting a senior or organizing a collection, contact Jordan Hurley at hurleyj@ehmss.org or 734-429-1649.

Your holiday mission starts with a wish list. Stop by, choose a senior, and help us make spirits bright!
