EHM Foundation News & Community Impact
Dear Friends,
As we move into March, you can start to feel the change in the season. The days are getting longer, the clocks have shifted, and little signs of spring are starting to show up around us. After a long winter, it always feels good to see things beginning to grow again.
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Your support and kindness mean so much, and I’m truly grateful for the role each of you plays in our community.
As this new season begins, I’m praying that your lives are filled with peace, strength, and joy. Spring is a great reminder that new things are always possible.
We’re also starting to look ahead to summer and some wonderful events coming up. I look forward to sharing more with you soon and hope to see many of you there.
Thank you again for being such an important part of what we do.
With gratitude,
Jodi Hilberer, Foundation Director

Community Events & Engagement

Whitepine Studios came to Brecon Village to host a painting session, all thanks to the Oscar Haab Charitable Remainder Trust. Residents who attended had a wonderful time painting together and enjoyed each other’s company. We love being able to offer engaging events like this that bring residents together, encourage creativity, and create meaningful moments.

We were also able to purchase another treadmill for the wellness area at Brecon Village, all thanks to the Oscar Haab Charitable Remainder Trust. We are so grateful for the opportunity to add this equipment to our wellness space so more residents can stay active, maintain their health, and enjoy safe, accessible opportunities for movement. Support like this helps us continue creating an environment where residents can focus on their well-being and quality of life.
Life Enrichment at the Evangelical Home-Saline
Life at EHM continues to be filled with meaningful moments, creativity, and the support of dedicated volunteers who make our community so special. From engaging activities to shared meals, there is always something bringing residents and staff together.
Sharon Taylor is a wonderful volunteer who once worked at EHM and continues to give back even after retiring. Sharon can truly do it all, from line dancing, to sharing stories that keep residents on the edge of their seats, to bringing her dog, Snoopy, in for special pet visits. She is always easygoing, full of energy, and has a genuine love for EHM and the residents we serve. We are so grateful that Sharon continues to share her time, talents, and heart with our community.
At the end of February, residents created beautiful flower arrangements using donated flowers, which were displayed throughout the facility. They were very proud of their work.
Each month, they also host a lunch for staff and residents’ staff to show their appreciation. They are especially looking forward to our upcoming Jiggs dinner, prepared by our EHM kitchen staff.

Partners in Care
We are excited to share that sponsorship opportunities for upcoming Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation events are now available.
Sponsorships play an important role in helping us support the mission of EHM Senior Solutions and continue providing compassionate care and services for older adults in our community. If you or your organization are interested in partnering with us, we would love to connect and share more about the available sponsorship levels and benefits.
